Scope & covered surfaces
1.1Covered surfaces
This document explains storing or reading information on your device when using Utajir sites, applications and connector domains that refer to it. Technologies differ between the public site, signed-in account and merchant or Agency pages; a choice on one domain is not permission for every domain. The Privacy Policy explains broader personal-data processing.
1.2Current inventory scope
This release’s inventory covers public-site preferences and their storage choice, separately from account sign-in cookies or an independent merchant site’s technologies. The public site remembers language and appearance only after you choose storage through the public site’s Cookies page controls; both can be used without saving. This list does not mean all platform functions or linked sites use the same technologies. Any new technology’s information and required choices are supplied before its purpose is enabled.
Cookies & related technologies
2.1Cookies and local storage
A cookie is a small value the browser may send to its associated domain, while local storage keeps values in the browser without automatically sending them with each request in the same way. Storage may last for a session or persist until expiry or deletion. Similar technologies are assessed by function, not merely by name.
Use categories & purposes
3.1Functions and preferences
Technologies may support sign-in, session protection or a requested function, or remember language and theme. Calling a technology necessary does not make it consent-exempt: necessity, purpose, duration and applicable law must be assessed. Current site preferences are named below and can be changed through language and theme controls.
3.2Measurement, advertising and referrals
If visitor measurement, advertising, referral tracking or external content is added, its purpose, provider, data and appropriate choice are distinguished before activation. Advertising is not hidden under security or preferences, and exempt measurement is not repurposed for an activity outside the exemption.
Technology & provider inventory
4.1Language preference — utajir-site-locale
utajir-site-locale: Utajir first-party local storage on the opened site origin, holding ar or en to remember language and direction without a personal identifier in the value. It is not read or written as a saved preference before storage is chosen. It lasts until changed, the choice is withdrawn, the storage choice expires within 180 days, or site data is cleared, whichever occurs first. Local storage does not automatically send it to an external provider with network requests.
4.2Theme preference — utajir-site-theme
utajir-site-theme: Utajir first-party local storage holding light or dark to remember appearance, subject to the same storage choice and lifetime as language. You can change appearance without saving it or withdraw preference storage on the public site’s Cookies page. Withdrawing the choice does not clear other sites’ data or terminate your subscription.
4.3Storage-choice record
utajir-site-storage-choice: a local record of allowing or refusing preference storage and its expiry, without marketing data or an account identifier. It remembers the choice for 180 days, after which a new choice is needed before saving preferences; it is removed or changed when site data is cleared or the choice changes. We read it only to honor your decision, including refusal. Device lifetime does not determine retention of any other service data.
4.4Application sign-in session
utajir_session: an Utajir application cookie carrying a random session token for sign-in verification rather than a password. It is sent to the application with relevant requests and is unavailable to page scripts. It lasts one day without remembering sign-in or up to 30 days when remembered, and is cleared on logout. Account creation uses a similar session lasting up to 30 days. Its purpose is authenticated access, not advertising; blocking it may prevent account use.
4.5Active workspace
utajir_ws: an application cookie identifying the selected workspace for up to 30 days from assignment, cleared on logout. Possessing its value does not grant workspace access; server-side authorization remains required. Public-site preference settings do not transfer consent to application sessions or independent merchant sites.
4.6Application interface preferences
The account interface also uses utajir-locale local storage for language and theme for appearance when selected. Values remain until changed or application-origin data is cleared through browser settings; that local storage sets no automatic expiry for these values. These keys differ from public-site preferences and are not controlled by its preference-storage buttons. Change them through the application’s language and appearance tools and remove them through browser site-storage settings.
Necessity & legal exceptions
5.1Assessing exceptions
Storage and access rules vary by law. Some purposes necessary for a requested function may be exempt from prior consent subject to their conditions. Current UK rules also provide narrowly defined statistical and appearance exceptions, with clear information and a simple free objection method where required. This does not exempt all analytics or all preferences in every country.
5.2Limits of relying on an exception
Each purpose is assessed separately; sharing technology with a security function does not exempt its advertising purpose. Commercial convenience does not establish necessity. The site lets you use language and appearance without saving them and retains only what is needed to remember your decision when you allow or refuse storage. A legal exception requiring an objection method is not used without providing it.
Obtaining consent & managing choices
6.1Clear consent
Where consent is required, it is given by a positive choice after purposes and providers are explained, with comparably easy options to accept, reject or customize non-exempt technologies. Browsing, scrolling or closing a notice without choosing is not consent, and optional choices are not preselected. Technologies requiring consent must not run before it is obtained.
6.2Managing preference storage
The public site’s Cookies page controls manage that site’s preference storage. “Use without saving” stops reading saved language and appearance and removes them; “Save my preferences” permits remembering your selections for up to 180 days. Language and appearance changes work during the current visit without storage consent. These controls do not consent to advertising, analytics, referral tracking or merchant sites, and do not authorize technology requiring a separate choice.
Withdrawal & preference changes
7.1Withdrawing a choice
Withdrawal must be as easy as giving consent through clearly accessible settings. It stops subsequent reading, storage and processing relying on that consent, with identifiers removed or expired where required. Withdrawal does not invalidate lawful prior processing or prevent limited evidence of the choice or a specific legal obligation.
7.2Renewing a choice
If purposes or parties change or consent ceases to be valid, we request a new choice before processing that requires it. Requests are not repeated to wear down refusal, and a site update does not reactivate a rejected category. Withdrawal effects must also be checked in tags and external programs.
Browser controls & privacy signals
8.1Browser settings and devices
Browsers can clear site data or block types of storage or tracking. This may forget language or theme or sign you out of an application using sessions; deleting device data does not delete records held by an operator. Settings differ across browsers, devices and domains, so a choice may need reapplying where no lawful disclosed linkage exists.
8.2Opt-out signals
Language and appearance storage choice does not replace an opt-out of sale or sharing where that processing occurs. We honor binding privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control for legally covered processing without requiring an account merely to honor the signal. Legacy Do Not Track is not automatically equivalent to every such signal. This page is not a universal setting for every independent site or integration; privacy rights may also be requested at contact@utajir.com.
Integrations, embeds & referrals
9.1Embedded content
Loading external video, chat, booking or other content may contact the provider, disclose network or device information or set storage technologies. These effects are assessed before embedding, with loading blocked until required consent and an explanation of activation. Refusal may make that external function unavailable, with a suitable alternative where possible.
9.2Referral tracking
Refusing or clearing tracking may affect referral attribution under program terms and available evidence. Commission eligibility does not justify bypassing visitor choices or hidden device fingerprinting. Any alternative, such as a user-supplied referral code, is disclosed with its purpose and data implications.
Customer sites & white labeling
10.1Merchant and Agency responsibility
A site operator is responsible for tools and tags it adds, purposes it determines, notices and visitor choices. Its notice must reflect the actual brand, domain and legal entity and include technologies the platform adds on its behalf. Utajir public-site preferences must not be copied as a complete inventory for a store or white-label platform.
10.2Limits of platform controls
We explain controls actually available for technologies we manage and cooperate within our role on processing for the customer. Settings do not remove the operator's need to test custom tags and scripts or our own obligations. A visitor's choice in one store does not authorize tracking in another or marketing by Utajir.
Inventory updates & contact
11.1Inventory updates
We review the inventory when a technology, purpose, provider or lifetime changes and update information before a use requiring new notice or choice operates. Visiting this page or updating the site does not reactivate a refused choice. The release date appears above, and Document Updates explains material changes; reviewing the text does not mean an independent scan of every network request in every service.
